The Rock - His recent WWE Wrestlemania Legacy

The Rock - His WWE Wrestlemania Legacy
In my opinion The Rock is a huge superstar. I watched him on TV at home when I was a 10 year old debuting at Madison Square Garden and through the next few years into being The Rock and becoming a global Wrestling  superstar. The Rock transitioned over into acting and films and in my mind  is dominating Hollywood with Hugely successful films such as Fast 6, Snitch, Pain and Gain and GI Joe 2 with more to come in 2013 and beyond.
For example Fast 6 in the United Kingdom where I live Drew  $4.4 million during its opening day  the biggest opening day for both The Fast and the Furious franchise and Universal in that market (source The Rock is a huge part of the film and should take a lot of credit on re-energising the franchise.
The Assentation of The Rock as a truly Global Powerhouse is why WWE needed him for Wrestlemania 29 and also the Wrestlemania's that proceeded it. Now the The Rock came in on a part time basis but is now (apart for maybe Hulk Hogan) the most recognisable Wrestler on the face on the planet due to his film work as mentioned above he brings a whole new audience to WWE and he is still a guy that wrestling fans see as larger as life and a true superstar. The Rock is THE Crossover star right now in this world and with that comes alotof responsibility for The Rock but the Rock is now a massive media maget and the definition of a global star.
The Rock Commercial power to WWE was immense. I know people casual fans that brought Wrestlemania based on the fact they had heard that The Rock was WWE champion. When I walked around New York before Wrestlemania through Times square and Surrounding Area there were WWE Wrestlemania banners on street lights and when people looked at the they said "oh that's The Rock" and that's what WWE wanted. If you didn't recognise anyone else on the poster you'd certainly recognise The Rock.
I Myself l the Way from England and Travelled 3500 Miles to be at Wrestlemania 29 to see The Rock as I never had the opportunity or the money before to see him Wrestle there is no way I could of gone through life never seeing The Rock Live in a Wrestling ring. That is what The Rock Does he draws people based on him being The Rock. I wanted to see him based solely on wanting to see one of my idols wrestle.
Greatest day Me at Wrestlemania 29

My Picture of The Rock at Wrestlemania 29
The Rock had a tremendous match with John Cena and did for Cena what Hulk Hogan had done for him and passed the Torch to John Cena to Carry forward that was something that The Rock did not have to do but did as it was the right thing for the Wrestling Business and I don't know this but feel That The Rock wanted to give back to the business that he loves.
The Rock suffered legitimate torn muscles and tendons around his pelvis from the match. I would like to thank him for carrying on in the match even though he must of been in so much pain and carrying on for the entertainment for the fans. Afterwards the stated in Twitter that Wrestlemania 29 could well of been his last match for WWE.  In this interview below after Wrestlemania 29 The Rock talks about Wrestlemania 29 possibly being his last match (interview With Peter Rosenberg)
The Rock Legacy after Wrestlemania is Huge. As You heard in the interview above the Rock talked about himself and Vince Having a 3 year plan for his appearances at Wrestlemania. The Rock also talked about a Match with Brock Lesnar but as of yet says that he is unsure whether that will take place.  Wrestlemania drew a record crowd to Metlife Stadium (with me Included!!) which was 80,676 and  became the second highest attended event in the history of WWE. The event set a new record for the highest grossing live event in WWE history, grossing $67 million (Source I think we could say that without The Rock the last 3 Wrestlemania's would have not been as successful as they were.

To further show how well The Rock is doing right now
he has been announced #25 on Forbes most powerful list and the comment The Rock Gave below is tremendous

"In 1995 I had $7 in 96 I was wrestling in Flea markets for $40 (thank god for waffle house) To #25 on the forbes most powerful, Some of you out there might be going through your $7 in your pocket situation...embrace the grind lower your shoulder and keep driving through that mother fucker change will come"

Randy Orton Legend Killer Years 2002-2005

Randy Orton Legend Killer Years
Randy Orton right now is one of the top wrestlers in WWE. Randy Orton has millions of fans around the world and also has been a star in WWE and been a WWE and World Heavyweight Champion. I'd like to take a look back at some of his career moments that have stood out to me so far and his Ascension to the top of WWE.
The Debut
Randy Arrived in WWE During the Ruthless Aggression Era in WWE and his first match was against Hardcore Holly (Bob Holly) on Smackdown Randy defeated Holly with a roll up pin to secure his first win in WWE See the video below to see Orton in his first appearance in WWE.
Later in 2002 Randy Orton got drafted to WWE Raw Brand then Randy Orton got injured and hurt his arm and shoulder. I remember seeing at the time these Randy News Network promos where Randy Would talk about himself and update everyone on his injury. I loved these as they were new and different and no one had ever done anything like that before and keep Randy in the fans mind and in my mind although he was injured and I think made him a bigger star and was Help Randy build up for his return to the ring. Click on the video below to see the Randy Orton News Update Segment
When Orton came back from  his injury he joined Triple H, Ric Flair and Batista in the group Evolution. This was a great move for Randy Orton as he got to work with and learn from Flair and Triple H two if the best in the wrestling business and this helped enhance his character and with no pun intended help evolve Randy Orton
you can see the Debut of the group by clicking on the clip below
As Part of Evolution Randy Orton then started calling himself the Legend Killer
Orton would have matches and call them Legend versus Legend Killer. Randy Orton then defeated RVD Rob Van Dam and won his 1st intercontinental championship - Randy Orton then held the Intercontinental championship for 7 months
Randy Orton lost  it to Edge. You can see Orton Win his first WWE intercontinental Title by watch the video below
Randy Orton had a standout feud during this time  with Mick Foley. Mick and Randy Orton feud was a classic and it started with Randy Throwing Mick down the stairs you can see this below
Foley was afraid to wrestle a match with Intercontinental Champion Randy Orton and walked out of the arena rather than face him. Foley and Orton faced each other in Royal Rumble 2004 and eliminated each other this then led to a match at Wrestlemania 20 with Evolution vs Rock and Mick Foley. See Highlights of this match below.
This then lead to a one on one match between Orton and Foley and what many consider to be the standout match between the two and the match that put Randy Orton on the Map as a main event player and as someone who could be a main eventer in WWE. I remember this match as being so hard hitting and the risks that both men took were incredible. Orton even took a bump into thumbtacks that Foley had placed in the ring Orton went into those tacks with  no tshirt on. Orton Won this match. Watch this match below
Legend Killer Randy Orton faced superstars like Shawn Michaels, Dusty Rhodes, Sgt Slaughter Rob Van Dam,The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan. Below you can see a promo video of Randy Orton Legend Killer list.
Youngest World Heavyweight Champion
Randy Orton Won a Battle Royal to Become Number one contender for the World Championship. Orton Defeated 20 other men the ending of this Battle Royal can be seen below
Orton then faced Chris Beniot and beat Beniot at Summerslam 2004 to become the Youngest World Heavyweight Champion - You can see Randy Win the Title Below.
Following Night Orton then beat Beniot again and following this came the famous scene of Orton on the shoulders of Batista and Triple H giving the Thumbs down which then kicked off the feud between Orton and Triple H for the World Heavyweight Title.
