John Cena Injured, Will he face Ryback at Extreme Rules? & The Future

John Cena Injured, Will he face Ryback? & The Future Posted an article today stating the following:

" has learned that WWE Champion John Cena sustained an injury during WWE's European tour. The WWE Champion injured his right Achilles tendon while battling Ryback.
The injury raises questions about the scheduled match between Cena and Ryback at Extreme Rules on May 19. What lies ahead for the Cenation leader? Does this put Ryback one step closer to capturing the WWE Title? There are no details yet about Cena's expected recovery time.
For more, stay with and tune in to Monday’s Raw at 8/7 CT on USA Network"

If this is the case then I feel very sorry for WWE. They havent had the best of luck with injuries over the past month or so with Triple H, Brock Lesnar,CM Punk and The Rock all getting injured or having some type of injury following Wrestlemania 29. Now WWE champion John Cena has hurt his Achilles Tendon. I hope that John Cena does not have as serious a injured as rumoured and that he is able to carry on and continue to be WWE champion.

Accordingly to

"Depending on the type of work, some people need several weeks off work after an Achilles tendon rupture, and the time taken to return to sport is between 4 and 12 months"
Obviously at this point we do not know how bad John Cena Injury is or whether it is a rupture or not or whether this is a less serious injury however this does beg a very interesting question if John Cena can get through he match at extreme rules and then has to take 4 months off for example who do you  out in his place to face Ryback?

WWE would be losing their biggest merchandise seller and their biggest babyface too,. This would be an incredibly difficult situation for WWE. These are the options as I see them right now
CM Punk

I mentioned Punk in my last blog and whether The Sheild would be a good fit for him. Now due to circumstances would WWE ask Punk to come back as a Babyface and Face Ryback and carry on the program? CM Punk is a big merchandise seller and is just behind Cena in that regard. So WWE doing this would make sense - however you wouldn't want to rush punk back to action too soon if he is not ready.

Randy Orton
Randy Orton could be the man to really help WWE out of a difficult situation. Orton has not been used much in title matches in the last few months and has been kept away from the Main event title scenes. Alot of people would say that this is due to his wellness violations, but whatever the case Orton is a great Wrestler, A Great Hand and his wrestling is crisp and impeccable. If WWE wants someone who is ready to go and wants to get back to the top of his game don't be surprised to see Orton vs Ryback.
Sheamus is the safe and really the most obvious choice for me. Sheamus is already a babyface and already has momentum. If you have Sheamus beat Mark Henry at Extreme Rules then have him go on to face Ryback. Sheamus and Ryback i think could have a good program with each other and I think now Sheamus has had a good few years of main event experience and Sheamus would be able to lead Ryback to some good matches. Sheamus also has that experience of working long programs with wrestlers like the Big Show so Sheamus would know how to keep the matches interesting and enging for the WWE Universe.

WWE: The Sheild to add new Members?

WWE: The Shield to add new Members?

WWE recently posted on article on their website talking about  the possibility of the Shield changing from a 3 man group to a four man group you can read the whole article by clicking this link
Part of the WWE article states
"Paul Heyman, for one, definitely has a connection with Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns that makes both him and his Superstars suspect — particularly considering his “alleged” payment to the treacherous trio in exchange for their attacks on behalf of CM Punk Also on the Heyman front, remember that when 3MB called out The Shield on the April 15 edition of Raw, it was the crafty manager’s own Superstar, Brock Lesnar, who emerged to unleash chaos in their place. What if those actions weren’t as random as it seemed? Could The Anomaly have been answering the call of The Shield?"

CM Punk

The Article also talks about other possibilities joining such as  Big Show, Jack Swagger and Mark Henry. However I don't feel that any of those three superstars would be a good for joining the group. WWE article also mentions CM Punk if anyone is likely to join CM punk makes the most sense and after some time off it would be a great way to bring CM Punk back into action,

However I actually I don't think that anyone should join at all.
Why would the shield need a forth member they have been dominant and as of this writing undefeated since they debuted putting Ryback through a table See video below of the shield first interview with Michael Cole

The Shield since they debuted have attacked Ryback, John Cena, The Miz, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Big Show, The Rock, The Undertaker and many more. They have been built as a very strong group who have been able to get the better of most of the WWE roster.

A Group Consisting of Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins these three former NXT talents have come from the WWE developmental system and become big stars. This group has started from nothing and become a main staple of WWE. Fans are intrigued by the group and they have attracted a following. Its been unique because most groups that form in wrestling and go against the top guys don't always win or they get their comeuppance very quickly (Nexus) and then break up and go their separate ways, WWE has invested time into these guys and I don't think that the surfaced has been scratched enough as to what these men could achieve.

The Thought of adding people also makes me think of the NWO. Of Course there are NWO comparisons to these guys also i believe that they are completely separate groups from separate era's however NWO added too many people too quickly and the watered down effect in hindsight NWO would of been better off as a three man group for longer.  I hope the WWE despite their article leave The Shield alone and keep doing what they are doing with them let them develop at their own pace and continue to make them even bigger stars. The Shield don't need someone established to come in and steal the spotlight - they are in the spotlight and the spotlight is where they should be, Believe in Rollins, Regins and Ambrose, Believe in The Shield.

Wrestlemania 29 Weekend PWR Hall OF Fame - Legends, Shenanigans and Wrestling

Jon Orchard's Wrestlemania 29 Weekend
Legends, Shenanigans and Wrestling
Well I'm back from New York and back from one of the biggest weeks of my life. It was an incredible few days and got to meet and see so many wrestlers, personalities and fans. It all kicked off on Friday night with the Pro Wrestling Report Hall Of Fame Ceremony.
PWR Hall Of Fame
We Arrived at Hotel Pennsylvania around 9:30pm and I remember feeling nervous and excited going up in the elevator as this is the first time I would be meeting the staff from the Pro Wrestling Report.
We walk out of the Elevator and walk towards the Entrance and David Herro is stood right in front of me by the entrance. Was such an Honor to meet David shake his hand and to talk to him, it felt surreal as well as id seen him on TV so many times I didn't feel real and (for the first time ever) I felt speechless. It was brilliant and was great to say to him thank you in person for giving me the idea to come to Wrestlemania in the first place.
Me and David Herro
Then spoke to and met The #Tremendous Linda Kay and Sara Macdermott. Both ladies looked amazing and were fantastic to talk to and get into conversation with had a great chat with both
We Went in to get our seats Walked into the Hotel Pennsylvania ballroom then we bumped into Dameon Nelson. Again it felt so surreal and i felt speechless yet again Dameon made me feel very welcome and I told Dameon that even this early in the evening I'm marking out already. Shook the hand of Dameon - it was awesome to finally meet the founder of Pro Wrestling Report.
We then took our seats on the front row for the PWR Hall of Fame. Before he went on stage (although I didn't realise he was) Matt Thomas walked past me and I shook hands with him - Matthew was a really great guy and did extremely well throughout the whole evening.
We Started the evening with a meet and greet with Demolition and King Kong Bundy. They were all absolutely Tremendous. Demolition and Bundy were my favourite wrestlers to meet all weekend !!spent time talking with all three of them, they were all brilliant and I couldnt believe i was stood in front of three Huge legends that I grew up watching was an experience I never thought would be possible.
The Ceremony then started we were introduced to our Host Armando Estrada. Armando took the mic and said our first inductees are Demolition. Armando then introduced the Inductor for Demolition Dameon Nelson. Dameon Came on stage to Jive Soul Bro and gave us some history and facts about Demolition and also them being the longest running Tag Team Champions in WWE History.Demolition then came to the stage walking down to their entrance music.
Demolition Talked about what an Honor it was for them to receive this award and talked about how honoured they were and said thank you to the fans in attendance who came out and saw them.
Up Next was the induction of King Kong Bundy Armando introduced us to his inductor David Herro. David Talked about his friendship with King Kong Bundy and Talked about Bundy as a person. Bundy then walked down to the ring accompanied by Linda Kay and Sara Macdermott. King Kong Bundy took the mic and gave a fantastic induction speech he was so honest and very real with his thoughts he was brilliant and really made for a great evening.
Following this there was a Q&A with Armando Estrada, King Kong Bundy and Demolition. I wont go into detail on this - but just to say It was AWESOME!!!! So insightful and interesting - I hope PWR will release this as it was such a great Q and A and Thanks to Matthew Thomas for Letting me ask my Question to Demolition!!!
Also Id like to note that at the end of the Q&A Demolition and King Kong Bundy talked about David Herro and how nice he is as a person and how great he is as a promoter and friend. Thought that was a really nice thing from Bundy and Demolition and they also praised Dameon Nelson and PWR for all there efforts and for recognising them with the PWR Hall Of Fame.
PWR Hall of Fame was amazing and I'm sure this is something that is going to grow and Something that will get even bigger as the years go on. I hope the Fans in New Orleans get to experience this. PWR Hall Of Fame was extremely well run, Wrestlers were Brilliant and the event was awesome. If you can go in New Orleans in 2014 I suggest you do, you wont regret it!!
