CM Punk vs Ryback - Hell in a Cell 2012

CM Punk vs Ryback - Hell in a Cell 2012

Hello All

Everything written below is my opinion and is written from my perspective as a wrestling fan. I'm not a wrestling expert and have never claimed to be one. My thoughts on What I feel could happen this Sunday at Hell in a Cell! Hope you Enjoy - Thanks for Reading

WWE Hell in a Cell is this Sunday 28th October 2012 and one match seems to of caught the imagination of the fans more than any other CM Punk vs Ryback. There are lots of different views out there Punk should Win, Ryback should Win, someone should interfere and cost Ryback. This match has got people talking more than any other just due to the fact that it feels unpredictable. Everyone is thinking what will WWE decide to do here?

Its a question with no easy answer but WWE put themselves in this position a month or so ago when they had Ryback standing over Mick Foley at the end of Raw. Of course this all came about as John Cena had elbow Surgery and WWE were not sure whether Cena would be able to compete or not. As it turned out WWE did not think Cena  would be "ready to go" so Ryback is inserted into the match to face the WWE Champion. Ryback was for me a strange choice but the only choice if you look at the WWE roster there was no other "face" (Good Guy) character WWE could of used.

Since the Debut of Ryback (formally Skip Sheffield in the Nexus) he has been plagued by the chants of "Goldberg" and also been likened to Current TNA and former WWE Superstar Rob Van Dam due to his ring attire, those chants at the beginning were loud and Ryback was doing lots of "Squash" matches (Where one Superstar dominates another in a match) these were very similar to what Goldberg used to do in his matches in WCW leading up to him winning the WCW Title. Did I think Ryback deserved those chants? No He is his own wrestler and he goes out there like any WWE wrestler and goes out and does what the WWE asks hm to do.

What Decision Will Vince McMahon make This Sunday?
So What Would I do on Sunday at Hell in a Cell?

CM Punk has been on a run of close to a year of being WWE Champion along with Paul Heyman who joined him. Being the Best in World and Being on a long title run has been CM Punk main talking point in his promos and Interviews over the past few months. For Punk to lose on Sunday would kill that aspect and also kill the notion of him being the self proclaimed "Best In the World" now before Cena got injured it was all about CM Punk Proving he was best in the world by taking on John Cena to prove it.

If Punk loses Sunday and regains the WWE Title back on Raw the next night I think It takes away from the match itself at Hell in A Cell and makes the impression of achievement by Ryback alot less therefore hurting him more and making Ryback look weaker. It also takes away from CM Punk. That theory to me is out of the window.

Ready to Reurn Cena Could be a Factor this Sunday

I'v heard the other side of this also "if Ryback loses he is no longer undefeated his run is over" first of all Ryback got this opportunity because John Cena got injured if John did have elbow surgery Ryback would not have been involved in this at all. Ryback character has been elevated by being in this feud and now instead of fans chanting Goldberg they are now chanting "Feed me More" and alot of fans are really behind him which has helped him and his momentum the old expression "You cant have a great Babyface without a great heel" really applies here.

If it were me I'd book it like this since there is no easy finish with a Hell in the Cell Match there must be a winner or a loser so with NO DQ's/Countouts here's what Id do....
  •  On Raw this week it was announced that John Cena is ready to return for "in Ring Competition"
  • Brock Lesnar attacks Ryback before the match in the Backstage Area  (The Brock Lesnar Idea was given to me by my friend @hilleard13)
  • Vince Mcmahon  then decides on PPV to put John Cena Into the Match
  • Punk vs Cena takes place in the Hell in The Cell for WWE title as Originally Planned
Brock and Ryback can then pick with their story on Raw the next night and Cena/Punk can continue and this leaves Ryback unaffected so he can take on Brock Lesnar. Everyone wins. No I'm not saying this is how it will pan out it could go in many different directions however this match does end it will be interesting viewing for us all on Sunday at Hell in A Cell

Zack Ryder: A Situation he cant win

Zack Ryder: A Situation he cant win

Everything written below is my opinion as a wrestling fan. Im not a wrestling expect nor do i proclaim to be one this is just my opinion on a situation in the wrestling world!

I saw today tweets from Zack Ryder nothing out of the ordinary here is one of his tweets from Thursday11 October 2012 he states in his tweet "hope WWE doesn't Edit this weeks Z True Long Island Story"

Then on from this Zack sends another tweet stating

"WWE Rejected this weeks episode - its going to suck"

Then from having an episode on Thursday Zack the states late on Friday that there will be No Episode this week. I must admit i feel really sorry for Zack Ryder. Here is a guy a few years ago after his run in the Edgeheads that Creative had Nothing for. So taking a chance and a risk he decided to get creative, use his on Brain and try and give himself a break.

Through his hard work and help from other wrestlers like CM Punk and John Cena Zack's Z True Long Island Story took off with a bang. Suddenly Ryder had over 100000 people watching his show every week. Fans would tune into his youtube channel to see what he was doing and it was looking like WWE suddenly not of nowhere have a huge star on thier hands. To the WWE also not only was a new star being born but a new guy who's different and cool merchandise could be produced that WWE could sell as well.

Zack was Produced a lot of merchandise from T shirts to clocks. Zack at one point was equalling John Cena (I Think) in the amount of merchandise produced for one person. Zack was on a roll and this culminated in my mind to this very memorable moment.

Fans Chanting at The Rock Woo Woo Woo/We Want Ryder

Survivor Series 2011 the crowd was hot all night as a New York City Crowd always is. Zack Ryder name is being chanted by the fans to The Rock who just grabbed the mic following his match. The Chant was so loud that The Rock  had to Acknowledge it. What a huge moment a guy who only a few years previous was looking at being let go in WWE then Fast forward to 2011 and the fans are chanting his name to one of the biggest stars in the industry,

Zack had a run with the US title and held this for a little while. But once he lost the US title he was back at doing nothing again. WWE started their own Youtube channel and Z True Long Island Story was included in this new channel. I think this is where it has got more difficult for Zack. Since he show is now WWE produced and videos must go through WWE before going on Youtube. Zack states that videos get edited and not as he presented them. Before this Zack was his own producer and could make the videos what he wanted. Herein lies the issue for Zack Ryder.

Zack turned himself into a recognisable superstar to alot of the fans and made himself relevant to WWE fans he managed to connect with an audience so whats the problem I hear you ask? The Problem is this  WWE didn't creative Zack Ryder they didn't come up with the idea of Z True Long Island Story and WWE didn't creative the buzz that Zack Created. If you look back through history WWE has Never pushed anything that they or Vince Mcmahon didn't create. Kevin Nash said in an interview that when the NWO was put back Together in 2002 before Hall. Nash and Hogan debuted on TV they spoke to each other and the 1st thing they said was "Vince Wont push what he didn't create" and sure enough NWO debut at No Way Out in 2002 after Wrestlemania 18 those original 3 guys were split up.

In my view I think the feeling is in the WWE  the Attention on Zack Ryder is taking away from so and so. Which is why i think Ryder did not make many appearances on Raw over the past few months. For me wheres the logic in that?

I feel sorry for Zack Ryder he had an idea, made it a reality and turned it into a success. Sometimes though no matter what you do you just cant win.

Give him the Ball - Mr Anderson...Anderson

Give him the Ball - Mr Anderson.....Anderson

Before I begin what I'll write here is my opinion as a wrestling fan, I'm not a wrestling expert and nor do I claim to be, This is merely my opinion from what I see on TV and from Interviews and Quotes of the subject themselves. This is just my opinion and thoughts so enjoy!!!

Hello All I'm back again today with something that has been on my mind for the past few days as many of you who follow me on twitter (@jon422002) Will know I'm a massive Fan of Impact Wrestling Ken Anderson formally know as Mr Kennedy in WWE.  Mr Anderson has always been entertaining to me, I enjoy his attitude promos and what he says. Plus he has great Tshirts and I own lots of them!!

A man with all this skill I don't feel has been used to his potential since he arrived in TNA. He has had some great moments but I don't think TNA have even scratched the surface of the brilliant talent that they have. I Don't believe that is down to the man himself, Nor can you blame it all on TNA it seems to be a combination of factors which has led to the skills that he has not be recognised as they should (in my opinion) Lets take a look at Ken Anderson's Departure from WWE and Transition into TNA Wrestling and how the ball was given to have then snatched away just as quickly

Lets go Back in time  if you will to  25th May 2009 Mr Kennedy as he is known then Returns to WWE from Injury and takes part in a 10 Man Tag Team Match on Raw Below is a promo he did before that match on Raw.

Following  this Match  the next day WWE release Mr Kennedy. Ken talked about the situation in depth on www.pwrshow.com with David Herro and Dameon Nelson  and Gave with 1st interview since being released. He Explains what happened and what took place Click the video below to Listen

In the days since his release from WWE in 2009 he started doing videos on Youtube and these were in my opinion truly brilliant these were videos that he did while he was waiting out his 90 day no complete clause below is Episode 3 (this is one of my favourites!!)

Then in In January 2010 he Joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
He Returned at the Genesis  2010 PPV having changed his name to Mr. Anderson. he wrestled Abyss on the PPV and beat him via Pinfall. Anderson then debuted on  Impact on January 21 2010. When this took place I was so happy to see Mr Anderson in TNA thought this could be a great place for him to become TNA champion and to carry of the amazing work that he has started previously.

Mr Anderson TNA debut

It started off Brilliant for us as fans and for Ken himself when the first feud that he engaged in was with Kurt Angle. this centred about Ken using the dog tags that Kurt Angle would wear around his neck. I remember being excited for these matches and looking forward to them. Also a remember a great promo from Mr Anderson where he dressed up as Kurt Angle to Mock him. Ken was brilliant and it was showing the fans in the arena and at home how entertaining he is and the different elements to his character that he possesses.

Following this feud with Kurt Angle Mr Anderson had a feud with Jeff Hardy and delivered one of the best promos - where the coined the phrase "Anderson's Assholes" this promo took place at TNA Sacrifice in May 2010. This is Anderson at his best brilliantly delivered, Funny, Entertaining and catches your attention. In my opinion its was the promo of the year !!

Anderson Assholes Promo

Fast forwarding along to January  9th 2011 At TNA Genesis a year after he debuted with TNA Mr Anderson defeats Matt Morgan in a Number one Contenders Match Following this match and on the same night Mr Anderson faced Current Champion Jeff Hardy. Mr Anderson Defeats Hardy and is TNA champion. I remember thinking this is going to be great - Mr Anderson as champion. Unfortunately and for reasons still unknown Mr Anderson loses the World Title Less than a month later on Feb 13th 2011 at Against All Odds to Jeff Hardy. It was very frustrating Ken was just getting started as Champion and is given the ball by the company then in less than a month its all change again. I really felt for Anderson didn't seem fair that he really wasn't given a chance at all to show what he could do as champion and what he could bring to the table as champion.

But again Mr Anderson Delivers a great promo as you can see below. After Winning the Championship Mr Anderson gave this promo talking his character and WWE.

Following on from this  Anderson Then got into a feud with Sting and dressed up as Sting from the early 90's On June 12th 2011 at Slammiversary , Anderson  beat Sting after interference to win Sting's TNA Heavyweight championship. After this happened I thought  Anderson will hold this longer than his first title reign surely Anderson will now be given hi s chance to shine and be able to have a long run with the title belt. However my faith was mis-placed and again Anderson title reign was cut  short My frustration/anger  with TNA Management at this point  was at boiling point!!

On July 7  Impact  Immortal the big heel group led by Eric Bischoff at the time forced Anderson to choose whether he was with them or against them. Anderson at the time was a good guy a face and I thought that TNA would keep him this way. From What I heard his mechanise was selling well and the fans were with him and what he was doing

In my head I thought there is no way Anderson will join Immortal ....However TNA booked it, Anderson  joined Immortal. In the process again in my opinion they destroyed everything that Anderson had built, the merchandise he was selling and his character.  On July 14 on Impact Anderson lost the TNA Title  to Sting. Mr Anderson 2nd Title reign lasted 2 weeks.....I couldn't believe it. Mr Anderson's Two title reigns combined in TNA came to 6 Weeks - how on earth is he able to show what he can do not only that but as I described above TNA destroyed the face Character  Merchandise sales and Storyline continuity for 2 weeks I couldn't understand what they were doing again another case of giving Mr Anderson the ball and pulling it away before he had a chance to run with it.

Anderson Last match of 2011 was On November 13 at TNA PPV Turning Point where Anderson and Abyss defeated  Bully Ray and Scott Steiner. Mr Anderson was then off TV for 4 Months whether this was because TNA didn't use him during this time or he had time off for outside projects I don't know what the case was.

Since Mr Anderson return in  March 2012 he has been involved in a tag team match with partner AJ Styles vs Daniels and Kazarian and also been involved in a Lethal Lockdown match at TNA PPV lockdown. Then very recently in September 2012 Mr Anderson lost a match to Samoa Joe on Impact for the TNA TV title.  Following this on 4 October Impact Mr Anderson was attacked by the heel group Aces&Eights as he was chosen by Sting to become his tag partner vs Aces&Eights at TNA Bound For Glory 2012.

My opinion looking back at his TNA career so far Mr Anderson should of been given more of a chance to show what he can do. You can be the greatest wrestler in the world but if the company that you work for changes direction too many times, make the wrong choices or don't have a direction to begin with it can really hurt a great wrestler and that's what I feel has happened to Mr Anderson so far. TNA can right the wrongs and I have no doubt that given the ball and given the chance to run with it - without anyone taking it away too quickly.Mr Anderson can be one of the greatest champions in wrestling.
